Libraries Receive Digital Imaging Grant

Washington University Libraries received a one-year, $46,000 Digital Imaging Grant from the Missouri State Library, in support of a project to digitize historic fire insurance maps of St. Louis. Read the article in the Record.



Eyes On The Prize Interviews Now Available

The Eyes on the Prize Interviews collection is now available. The collection consists of searchable transcripts from the Washington University Libraries' Film and Media Archive of over one hundred filmed interviews conducted for the first Eyes on the Prize documentary series.



Arts & Sciences Receives Grant

Congratulations to Professor Joseph Loewenstein from the School of Arts & Sciences on receiving a Scholarly Editions Grant from NEH in the amount of 150k in support of a new edition of the Collected works of Edmund Spenser. The successful application was grounded on years of support from Special Collections and, recently, the Digital Library and the Humanities Digital Workshop. The grant is especially important as a product of collaboration between the Library and Arts and Sciences, a collaboration, moreover, between staff, faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates. Law Receives National Science Foundation Grant

A National Science Foundation grant has been awarded to Professors Pauline T. Kim, J.D.; Andrew D. Martin, Ph.D., also professor of political science in Arts & Sciences; and Margo Schlanger, J.D., for their project titled "The Litigation Process in Government-Initiated Employment Discrimination Suits." The project will involve collecting and analyzing data on federal court litigation brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) over a 10-year period.
